Trade incoming: The Winnipeg Jets are highly interested in New York Rangers top defenseman
Surprising Stanley Cup contender emerges as a potential trade candidate for the New York Rangers as both team are looking to make some big changes.
Currently the New York Rangers do not hold a playoff spot and with the NHL trade deadline quickly approaching, the Rangers are likely to make more drastic changes.
When looking around the NHL, one team that should be watched incredibly closely when it comes to Lindgren is
the Winnipeg Jets.
Winnipeg Jets are the perfect team to acquire Ryan Lindgren in free agency
By now it's no secret that the Jets are looking to improve their defensive end, and bringing in a shutdown Defensemen like Lindgren would be the right move. Along with them desperately needing a left-shot defenseman.
If the Winnipeg Jets acquired Ryan Lindgren, he could slot very nicely on their second pairing with
Neal Pionk. In addition, he would also provide them with another option for their penalty kill because of his defensive play.
Just this season, the 27-year old has played in 50 games and has managed to tally 13 assists, 2 goals for a total of 15 points, 56 hits and 92 blocks. During his seven seasons with the Rangers he has 12 goals, 95 points and a plus-98 rating.
It's likely we will see the Jets and Rangers complete a deal centering around defenseman Ryan Lindgren.
