The Rangers traded for Patrick Kane two years ago from the Chicago Blackhawks for a second round pick.
With Kane hitting the free agent market this year, should the Rangers get him back?
Patrick Kane in 2022 after joining the Rangers had 12 points in 19 games. He then produced in the playoffs, having six points in seven games. It was a very successful tenure with the team.
New York just got $3.6 million off of their hands after waiving fourth line center Barclay Goodrow, with the San Jose Sharks picking him up.
Why not take some of that money and put it into a veteran project that you know works in Patrick Kane?
Patrick Kane showed he can still play last season, tallying 20 goals and 47 points in 50 games. The Detroit Red Wings also nearly made the playoffs. It'd be a win for the Rangers.
