Just moments ago the New York Rangers announced that have made a roster transaction regarding veteran defenseman.
The Rangers have just took to social media to announce that they have assigned veteran defenseman
Connor Mackey to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League.
UPDATE: Connor Mackey has been assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack.
After being recalled last Monday, Mackey unfortunately didn't see any ice time with the New York Rangers and have still yet to make his 2025-26 season NHL debut.
Connor Mackey Recalled To The New York Rangers Following Injury Woes
Back on Monday morning, it was announced that defenseman Urho Vaakaninen was sidelined from practice due to sustaining a lower-body injury and will be considering day-to-day.
Something that has resulted in New York Rangers President and General Manager Chris Drury to recall 29-year old defenseman Connor Mackey from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey league.
UPDATE: Connor Mackey has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack.
However, the 29-year old defenseman has officially been re-assigned to the Wolf Pack, where he has played a total of 66 games played with the Wolf Pack last season, where he recorded 24 points (6 g, 18 a).
Just this season, the native of Tower Lakes, IL, has tallied two assists in nine games with the Wolf Pack this season, bring his total of appearance with the Wolf Pack to 119 games and total of 37 points (8 g, 29 a)
This a good indicator that Urho Vaakaninen will be returning to the Rangers lineup for Saturday night's game against the New York Islanders.
