NHL Insider Frank Servalli Links Artemi Panarin to the Carolina Hurricanes
As NHL Insider Frank Servalli has dropped some startling news regarding Russian forward Artemi Panarin. The former 120-point forward has been linked to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Of course, that would involve Panarin waiving his no-trade clause to head South into Hurricane territory.
"I could see Artemi Panarin as a Cane ... we know they want to be aggressive. If #NYR continue to hover at the very bottom of the standings, could they convince Panarin to go to the Hurricanes and what would that look like? I think that would be a great fit." #CarolinaCulture
However, Chris Drury would have to be willingly to want to trade Panarin their, but it wouldn't be to hard considering he traded
K'Andre Miller their over the summer. Along with convincing both
Jacob Trouba and
Chris Kreider to accept a trade to Anaheim.
Though the Hurricanes will have to take into account the massive cap hit that comes with acquiring Panarin, who has an $11.6 million attached to his name.
At the moment, they have $9 million in space, and moving a little bit of salary around could make it happen. Do you think the New York Rangers will trade Artemi Panarin? Let us know in the poll down below.
