As a result of the match penalty, Pitlick was automatically ejected from Thursday nights game, and will be suspending pending an NHL review.
However, now that it is the next day and following a review from the NHL Department or Player Safety, they have deemed that Pitlick would not have a have hearing. Meaning he will not receive any further disciplinary actions for his hit.
Believe the Department of Player Safety has determined no hearing for Tyler Pitlick from his match penalty on Jalen Chatfield, who didn't return to the game. Likely determined head was not main point of contact and head contact was unavoidable.
