NHL Debut: Mike Sullivan Confirms Jaroslav Chmelar Will Step Up To Replace Forward In The Rangers Lineup

Just moments ago the New York Rangers and head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed some significant changes in their lineup ahead of their game against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday night.
During the Rangers practice on Thursday morning as several reporters revealed that 22-year old offensive prospect Jaroslav Chmelar was slotting into the lineup as a replacement for Adam Edstrom, and that it was very possible that Edstrom would be scratched for Friday nights game.
First look at #NYR lines indicates that Adam Edström may be a scratch in Detroit:

However, now on Friday afternoon ahead of the Rangers game against the Red Wings, head coach Mike Sullivan confirmed that Adam Edstrom will in fact be the odd-man out as he's dealing with "some bumps and bruises".
«The biggest thing with Eddie is he's dealing with some bumps and bruises right now. And I just think, given the circumstance that we're in, might give Eddie an opportunity to recover. But also a guy like Jaro that's played extremely well in Hartford, we'll give him an opportunity to see if he can help us.»
Which means Jaroslav Chmelar will officially be making his NHL debut with the ew York Rangers.
Back on Monday November 2nd, the New York Rangers announced that they have recalled Jaroslav Chmelar from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League, while assigning Brennan Othmann back to the Wolf Pack.
The 22-year old forward has recorded five points (2 goal, 3 assist) in nine games this season with the Wolf Pack. While tallying a total of 29 points (12 g, 17 a) in 71 games as a rookie with the organization just a season ago.
