Rangers: There's "nothing Holding" Center Filip Chytil back from Training Camp
After surviving injury-riddled years throughout his career, Filip Chytil, and
GM Chris Drury announced that Chytil can return to training camp.
Nothing is holding him back
Chytil has shown the potential that the Rangers want to harness but has been subdued by injuries, and concussions.
His hockey career has been relatively short, but he has suffered through four concussions. This caused him to miss a substantial amount of time over the years.
His last concussion which happened in November kept him out of for the rest of the regular season and the majority of the playoffs.
When he returned to the ice the Rangers played it safe, limiting his usage, the games he played and the time on ice.
If he can remain healthy for the Rangers this year, the 25-year-old could turn out to have a major impact on the ice
Chytil could end up back on the 3rd line, with
Kaapo Kakko and
Will Cuylle, and play short-handed minutes, along with some power-play usage.
Chytil could end up being an "X" factor for the Blueshirts and may prove to be an important presence down the road.
