New York Rangers captain and veteran defenseman Jacob Trouba reveals how he's feeling as the 2024-25 season approaches.
It's been a super crazy offseason for Jacob Trouba, as he's been faced with countless trade rumors but he recently revealed he's happy to be a member of the Rangers and is putting the past behind him.
According to a recent report from the The Athletic, Trouba stated:
«I'm happy to be here, I'm excited to go into the season. Great opportunity ahead of us.»
At one point throughout the offseason, Elliotte Friedman revealed at the 2024 NHL Entry Draft that the Rangers and Detroit Red Wings were working on a deal, but ultimately nothing came out of this.
The 30-year old veteran defenseman in now approaching his sixth season with the Rangers. However, this season should be different for Trouba as he needs to prove that he is truly a valuable member to the organization.
Last season, Trouba managed to record 3 goals and 19 assists for a total of 22 points in 69 games while averaging 21:15 minutes of ice time.
