Rangers Stars Addresses Team Emotions After Wild Game
The Rangers and their quest to become the eighth franchise in NHL history to win at least five Stanley Cups has officially begun.
They became the first team to clinch a spot in the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
Mika Zibanejad, who had a goal and an assist in the win, addresses the media on the Rangers clinching a playoff spot tonight:
"This is what every team is fighting for. Yeah, we have bigger goals but if you want to lift the Stanley Cup, you've got to get into the playoffs first"
Adam Fox, who had the game winning goal, also reflects on the Rangers clinching a playoff spot:
With the win tonight in their 72nd game, the Rangers passed the 100-point threshold in the second fewest games (1971- 72 - 67 GP) in team history.
It marks the 13th 100-point season in team history and third consecutive.
