As much as the Rangers season has been fantastic, there have been blips and tough stretches of play especially when goaltender Igor Shesterkin was having a bad stretch Prior to the All Star game. This has led the team to register 27 comeback wins which has matched their record since it was first set in 2014.

As many would feel that that many comeback wins states the team has a hard time with leads, it's also possible to look at it as a team that faced some adversity in which they corrected their problems and stormed back to win the game.

Through 78 games, the Rangers have a record of 53-21-4 with 110 points.
They're still atop the NHS and are up three points on Boston and five points on Dallas. The Rangers have been churning out the winds and have gone 8-2-0 in their last 10 and hold a + 53 goal differential.

The team is getting well balanced scoring and solid defence. If the playoffs were held today, they would be facing off against the Detroit Red Wings who currently hold the second wild card spot at 84 points through 77 games.

It's widely expected that will be the hotly contested seed as numerous teams continue to battle it out with the Islanders, Red Wings, Penguins, Flyers and the capitals all within two to three points of two playoff spots.

It's going to be a photo finish for this season and the Rangers will continue to wait to see who their opponent will be.
