Peter Laviolette Admires What K'Andre Miller Brings Every Game
Whether it's even strength or special teams, the Rangers have clearly been the better team through the first two games of this first-round playoff series against the Capitals, winning 4-3 tonight!
K'Andre Miller became the fourth blueliner in 20 years to score a shorthanded goal in the playoffs and have it stand as the game winner, joining Brendan Smith (Game 2 of 2022 R2), Matt Greene (Game 1 of 2012 CSF) and Nicklas Lidstrom (Game 6 of 2008 CQF).
Head coach Peter Laviolette addresses the media, giving major praise to Miller and his play during the playoffs:
"He's the type of player that can bring everything. He can bring the physicality. He can bring the good defense. He can jump into a hole and find the right offense as well, at the right time."
The Rangers travel to Washington D.C. for Game 3, looking for a 3-0 series lead.
