Gallant has had plenty of success in the National Hockey League as he won the Jack Adams Award as coach of the year in 2017-18 with the Golden Knights after he lead the organization to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Not long after that he managed to join the New York Rangers organization where he served as their head coach for two season and would take the team to the Eastern Conference finals in 2022.
Instead of being rewarded for his success, he ended up getting disrespected as he was fired and has since struggled to land another coaching job in the NHL, leaving him to take his 700+ NHL game experience to the KHL.

The Shanghai Dragons Issue A Crazy Introduction After Naming Gerard Gallant As Head Coach

Earlier this morning when Gerard Gallant was announced as the Dragons head coach, the team released a crazy introduction video that had many fans stunned.
However, there's hope that Gallant, whose record in the NHL 705-369-262-4, and a .576 percentage, can be the game changer for the team as the Dragons are a new transformation of the Kunlun Red Star.
The Shanghai Dragons, official successors to Kunlun Red Star. This isn't just a rebrand but a bold transformation: a new city, name, crest, and identity, while continuing the mission to elevate Chinese hockey.

A team that finished last with a record of 28-34-5-1, and could use someone who's done more with less in Vegas.
