New York Rangers Star Defenseman Goes Above And Beyond For Charity In The Most Interesting Way

NHL Insider Mollie Walker has a report on defenseman Adam Fox's newest campaign, which will run the entirety of the 2025-26 season. Fox will be donating a good chunk of his salary for every goal, and assist he scores this season in honor of his father-in-law Tim Green.
Adam Fox is an elite defenseman in the NHL and will be putting his talent to good use this year. He's dedicating his 2025-26 campaign to his father-in-law, Tim Green, and the ALS Foundation.
NHL Insider Mollie Walker has dedicated Fox's fight against ALS, and will be tackling it in honor of former NFL Lawyer and writer who was diagnosed with the disease in 2016.
«It's a blessing to be in a position to have a little impact, and I think it's important to take advantage of that,» Fox told The Post on Saturday while sitting in his stall at MSG Training Center. «I'm only going to be in this position for so long to go do that, and I think it's just something that is near and dear to me. Obviously, this is something that from what I've learned is a pretty brutal illness, but one that, sadly more recently, has become - but also positive - more awareness to it. You hear about more cases of people getting it.
Adam Fox's Charity Pledge Will Help Fight ALS for Tim Green and Others
ALS is a debilitating disease, and the research by the foundation is ongoing to help find a way to cure the terminally ill, who suffer as it attacks their nervous system progressively.
Each goal has a $1,023 pledge attached to it, while $523 will be given for each assist, and if we give you an idea of how much Fox would've given last year if he had this set up in advance: $36,903.00, a sizable sum towards victory over a terrible disease.
He'll be playing with a purpose this year, and it won't be for a Stanley Cup alone.
