Gavrikov finished this past season with 30 points in 82 games with a career high 140 blocked shots in a personal best 23:05 average time on ice per game. He's projected by AFP Analytics to pull in a five-year, $5.4 million contract on his next deal. - Dave Litman

Gavirkov a different type of defenseman that would help Rangers

Adding Gavrikov would give the Rangers a more reliable defenseman in their own end while still producing offensively for the Blueshirts.
Drury will need to make some moves to his help his cap situation as he only has $8.4 million in cap space this offseason and would like to make major alterations to the team which include trading Miller, forward star Chris Kreider while discussing the fate of superstar forward Artemi Panarin.
It remains to be seen when the Rangers intend to start their changes, but with the draft on June 27th and unrestricted free agency opening on July 1st Rangers fans won't have to wait long.
