TheNew York Rangers' K'Andre Miller continues to generate interest from other NHL teams. This could be good or bad news, depending on how GM Chris Drury pivots if he intends to keep him. The RFA could be offer-sheeted, as we all know Doug Armstrong broke that dam last season, acquiring Philip Broberg in 2024.
New York Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller had a promising start to his NHL career in 2022-2023, as he tallied 43 points (9-34) under Head Coach Gerard Gallant.
Since then, he's taken a bit of a nosedive in production, but has plenty of upside another team could tap into. Which is why he remains on the radar of trades and offer sheets this July.
NHL Insider Cam Robinson elaborated on Miller's name being mentioned in trade talks ahead of the NHL Draft.
Cam Robinson reported on Saturday that Miller was "consistently swirling around" in conversations at the NHL draft combine leading up to the weekend.
According to Robinson that K'Andre Miller is available for a trade for some NHL teams, but others may prefer to go the offer-sheet route.
This is the second report, which gives weight to the idea that no one is off limits, including former 1st-round picks like K'Andre Miller, who at this point in his career could use a fresh start.
"They are testing the market on Miller. They want to know what it is," Friedman said. "His name is definitely out there."
Miller was a former 22nd overall pick in 2018 by the New York Rangers and posted 27 points (7-20) in 74 games with the Blueshirts.
Could we see him in a different team's jersey in October?
