The New York Rangers would be wise to utilize the connections left over from Mike Sullivan's time in Pittsburgh. They could yield some fruitful talent who can forecheck and produce when needed. A few names could prove interesting in Mikael Granlund and Anthony Beauvillier.

Now that the New York Rangers have finished their head coaching search with the hire of Mike Sullivan, GM Chris Drury can work on reshaping the lineup.
There are multiple UFAs that the Rangers could look into that have connections with Sullivan from his time with the Penguins.
Three of them would be worth a look, and see where they could fit into the team's lineup for 2025-26.

Anthony Beauvillier

Anthony Beauvillier signed a one-year deal with GM Kyle Dubas and the Pittsburgh Penguins. While he played in the top-six, he could be a fit for the Rangers' bottom-six, as a depth forward, as he scored 20 points (13-7).
Beauvillier is a great forechecker and could help drive the offense and generate opportunities for his teammates. He's played a total of 631 NHL games and scored 271 points (131-140).
Beauvillier has wheels, plays high-energy hockey, and his no-quit style could be infectious in the Blueshirts' lineup.

Mikael Granlund

Granlund's time in Pittsburgh was ultimately a disappointment. He'd be held to only 5 points (1-4) in 21 games with the Penguins. Since he's left, he's found himself playing multiple roles with the San Jose Sharks and Dallas Stars, including the power-play, while revitalizing his career, scoring 66 points (22-44) this year. He's a great playmaker and has the vision to increase a team's offensive output with his passing skills.
Not to mention, he's a capable penalty killer as well. He could replace Chris Kreider in the role, should GM Chris Drury decide to move on from the forward in July.
Brian Dumoulin, out of all of the players mentioned here, has spent the majority of his career with Mike Sullivan. He's spent 10 years of his career as a Penguin, and 8 of those under the leadership of Sullivan.
He's been a reliable blueliner during the Penguins' two-cup runs and at 6'4" is a capable defensive defenseman, playing a shutdown style while averaging 20:04 TOI a night.
Dumoulin could be a key component of the Rangers' new blueline, as he's a player who's not afraid of getting physical, but won't allow himself to be bullied either.
The Rangers could very well add some meaningful depth if Chris Drury signs one, two , or all three of the players mentioned above.
