The New York Rangers organization publicly disrespects a former forward after he has just signed a new deal with a very unexpected team overseas.
Unfortunately for Vesey, he wasn't gaining a ton of attention from NHL organizations but the 32-year old forward was gaining a ton of attention from several teams in Russian. Along with other teams interested, which include Ak Bars Kazan, Dinamo Minsk, and the Chinese club Kunlun Red Star.
Jimmy Vesey Officially Leaves The NHL And Signs New Deal Overseas
It was just recently reported that Vesey has joined the National League, the top tier of the Swiss hockey league system, with the Genève-Servette HC.
With that being said, this is where the New York Rangers organization disrespected Jimmy Vesey.
Vesey's Former Team Bids A Farewell And It's Not The Rangers
After the news broke out regarding Jimmy Vesey leaving the National Hockey League, his former team the Colorado Avalanche bid him a farewell and thanked him for all his contributions to the organization.
However, the New York Rangers didn't send Vesey any message as he's preparing to take on a new journey of his professional career. Which is shocking consider he has spent most of his career with the Rangers. Vesey has spent a total of six seasons with the Rangers over his last nine years in the NHL.
Vesey had started his career with the Rangers back in 2016-17 season and stayed until the end of the 2018-19 season, and then for his second stint after he rejoined the Rangers organization in 2022 and stayed until he was traded last season.
