New York Rangers hit with devastating news as Matt Rempe will be out indefinitely with an upper-body injury

On Thursday afternoon several reports surfaced that New York Rangers forward Matt Rempe has sustained an upper-body injury and has been listed as week-to-week.

Truly some devastating news for the New York Rangers organization, as they are in a very crucial spot right now as they look to secure a wild card spot and need all the help they can get, so losing a any player for a long period of time while only having ten games left is never good.

Now many fans don't believe that Rempe is a valuable player to the organization because he takes too many penalties during crucial moments.

However, it's hard to argue that Rempe doesn't provide the team with a sense of confidence and security as he's not afraid to get himself into dirty areas and stick up for his teammates.

Matt Rempe's injury most likely comes from the Rangers last game on Tuesday when they faced off against the LA Kings and took a 3-1 loss.

During that game, Matt Rempe attempted to get his team fired up by dropping the gloves with Tanner Jeannot, but ended up doing the opposite after he caught an edge and tumbled backwards onto the ice.

Hopefully that wasn't Matt Rempe's last game of the season, but it's very likely as the Rangers only have 10 more games to play over the next three/four weeks.
