New York Rangers forward reveals life changing news following contract extension
Adam Edstrom, a New York Rangers forward and one of the "Rempire Towers," has had a huge offseason. He'd get offered a new deal by GM Chris Drury and quickly signed. Now reported today, he is engaged to be married!
Adam Edstrom has had a successful offseason while recuperating from an injury that has taken him out of the lineup.
It was reported today that he and his girlfriend, now fiancée, are getting married. The forward posted a heartfelt letter on social media.
The announcement was just weeks after his report of an extension with the New York Rangers occurring.
The deal pays him $975K over the next two years, paying him a total of $1.95 million AAV.
Edstrom found success late in the 2024-25 season as a depth forward, on the same line as Matt Rempe, and quickly took advantage of the chemistry of the line.
Until his lower-body injury, which took him out of the lineup in February 2025, he was a part of a dynamic, albeit brutish line that consisted of himself,
Sam Carrick, and Matt Rempe.
In 51 games this year, he scored a total of 9 points (5-4). The former 6th-round pick will be in a Blueshirt for another two seasons thanks to GM Chris Drury.
While he and the missus have found stability in New York, they will help stabilize each other as man and wife for years to come.
No word on a set date for the two, who are undoubtedly excited to become one when the ceremony takes place.
Congrats to the happy couple!
