The New York Rangers hope Matt Rempe can improve on his 2024-25 season. It was a year led by struggles, which he would overcome near the end of the year, thanks to his chemistry with Adam Edstrom. For Rempe, silencing his critics is his motivation next season.

Matt Rempe always said he wanted to improve his game before the start of the 2024-25 season. He'd end up flourishing near the end of the year, where all his production would occur.
That'd be after taking a penalty for boarding defenseman Miro Heiskanen, and learning from his mistakes. Entirely self-made. He'd hear from his critics on "X", incessantly.

Rempe's Turnaround In January

For Rempe, he'd find a home on the fourth line and become part of the "Rempire Towers," a dynamic duo consisting of himself and Adam Edstrom.
The two would occupy space on the ice and use their size and strength to generate offense and cause terror in the opposition's end.
Rempe would play 42 games in the Rangers lineup and would score 8 points (3-5) and play an ATOI of 8:30 near the end of the year.
A sign he'd truly cleaned up his act, and was acting like the forward he's truly wanted to be his entire career.
Peter Laviolette would acknowledge his growth in April:
"Huge. Huge growth for Remp. He's attacking the ice now with the puck. From our end, he's getting it with a little bit of speed underneath it before our blue line. He's attacking the neutral zone, he's going to the net, he's making plays, he's going through defenders. He played a heck of a game tonight... The growth has been visible for everybody, not just me, but everybody sees it that watches him play."

Rempe has continued to train with Chris Kreider and Jonathan Quick at Prentiss Hockey Performance in order to improve his game further.
He's worked on bulking up and will once again silence his critics in the NHL.
