New York Rangers defenseman will miss the remainder of the season with an upper-body injury

Some troubling news surfaces for the New York Rangers as they announced that one defenseman has been dealing with an upper-body injury for some time now.
Just earlier today, the New York Rangers confirmed that defenseman Braden Schneider will miss the final two games of the season as he's been dealing with an upper-body injury for some time now.
Of course this news drops just a day after the New York Rangers were eliminated from the 2025 NHL playoff contention, by the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday evening.
However, according to Rangers insider Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today, Schneider has been playing through this upper-body injury for some time now, but he also confirmed that there are no concerns about it lingering into next season.

Which makes sense to why the New York Rangers recalled Matthew Robertson from the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack, a defenseman who is likely to make his NHL debut after being drafted six-years ago.
UPDATE: #NYR has recalled defenseman Matthew Robertson from the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack.
In 80 games this season, the 23-year-old defenseman managed to tally six goals, 15 assists for a total of 21 points in 80 games while averaging 17:52 minutes per game.
Hopefully he takes time to recover this offseason and is 100% ready to go next season.
