Chris Drury and the New York Rangers have just announced an unexpected move moments before the NHL Trade Deadline comes to end.

The New York Rangers have been very busy over the last week as they have made a series of trades as general manager Chris Drury has been re-tooling on the fly.
Now, Chris Drury has seems to like how the New York Rangers roster is looking, leaving him to make his next move.

New York Rangers sign Urho Vaakanainen to a two-year contract extension

According to several reports around the league, including Sportnets Elliotte Friedman, the New York Rangers have decided to sign Urho Vaakanainen to a two-year contract extension worth $3.1 Million ($1.55 Million AAV).
