The New York Rangers come into tonight against the Minnesota Wild in Madison Square Garden. The two teams will have duelling coaches who share duties on Team USA. Mike Sullivan, and John Hynes know each other's style well, which should prove to make an exceptional match.
The Rangers at this point in the season are 3-3-1 in the regular season, and are 0-3-0 at home.
A stark contrast to which Hynes has said about the team, which he talked about them as a "dangerous" team.
Fox has proven to be one of the team's best producers this season, wth 6 points (3-3), while Artemi Panarin leads the team in assists with 5.
The New York Rangers Are A "Process" Team
I know Mike's a process guy. I think they've had scoring chances, they've had looks. I think they're a dangerous offensive team.»
Sullivan is a process guy, which means when they run a play they stick to making it happen to create offense.
An article on process-based hockey expands on the thought process which we hear from defenseman
Colin Miller about the playstyle.
MILLER: «When we play the right way, you see the results. If we play within our system, I think we're going to have a good chance every night. It's fun hockey right now.»
What matters most for Sullivan is depending on his players to execute the right way every night in order to win the game. The Rangers will have to execute their processes right in order to control the ice, and give themselves the best chance to win.
