Matt Rempe's suspension fate was just confirmed by the NHL Player Safety after another controversial hit
According to recent reports, the NHL Department of Player Safety has reached a verdict on Matt Rempe's suspension, following a controversial «hit to the head» to Nick Blankenburg of the Nashville Predators.
As the Rangers took on the Nashville Predators, Rempe laid a heavy hit on Nick Blankenburg and many believe he connected with his head. However Rempe was only given a two minute penalty and then a five-minute penalty for fighting after the hit.

The 22-year old forward is 6'9» tall and has a history of throwing nasty hits that have lead to unnecessary penalties and even 4 suspensions, but since his 8-game suspension he has truly improved on that aspect and understands that he can't continue to do that.

Reports have surfaced this morning that revealed the NHL Department of Player Safety will not enforce further supplemental discipline towards Rempe after reviewing this hit.
Certainly some good news for the youngster and the New York Rangers as he's clearly been a difference maker on the ice since rejoining the lineup.
