New York Rangers captain J.T. Miller shares an emotional statement following his return to Rogers Arena on Tuesday night, as it was first time back in Vancouver since being traded.

J.T. Miller was acquired by the New York Rangers back in January from the Vancouver Canucks after several reports broke out of a ongoing feud he had with his former teammate, Elias Pettersson, something that resulted in the Canucks organization to move one of the two players.
Thankfully it was Miller who had been traded. However, with that being said, Miller still has very strong feelings about the situation and of course the time he spent in Vancouver.
"Everything happens; you can't go back and change anything. Obviously, it's ugly sometimes at the end. But I think for the majority of the time I was here, you know, it's been all positive. It's been a lot of good things. And I'm not going to sit here and dwell over the way it ended," Miller said.

With that being said, just about halfway through the first period, Miller received a standing ovation following a video tribute from the Vancouver Canucks organization.
"The Canucks organization and fans welcome back J.T. Miller to Vancouver 🗣️👏"
Something that Miller didn't take lightly as he openly admitted how happy and lucky to have spent the last six seasons wth the Canucks, despite how things ended.
"It's just surreal. You don't realize how lucky you are. Just really happy that my kids got to be here today, and my wife. It means a ton to me. Just feel like super lucky to have that support in a hockey crazy city. It was a really special chapter of our lives here."
