Former New York Rangers defenseman finally opens up on his time the Rangers organization before being dealt in a trade to the Colorado Avalanche last season.

Just moments ago, former New York Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren opened up to the media on being trade from the organization last season. Something that he's thankfully for as he's happy to now be with the Seattle Kraken.
After spending the first seven-years of his NHL career in New York, Ryan Lindgren was traded to the Colorado Avalanche during the 2024-25 season on March 1st, for a return of Juuso Parssinen, Calvin de Haan and conditional second- and fourth-round picks in the 2025 NHL Draft.
However, now over a year later, Lindgren is finally speaking out on his time in New York, as he is getting prepared to face off against the Rangers with the Seattle Kraken on Saturday night.

Ryan Lindgren Reflects On His Time With The New York Rangers

Following the Kraken's practice on Saturday, Ryan Lindgren spoke with Mollie Walker of the New York Post, and opened up on his time with the Rangers and what it has meant for him.
What did Ryan Lindgren's time with #NYR do for his career?

"It did everything. As far as going to Hartford when I first got there, learning the pro life and then getting my chance to get called up. Just kind of running with it. We had a lot of success, too, the last six years. Met a lot of great people, a lot of great players, staff, great fans. It was amazing. I loved every second that I was a Ranger. I cherish that time a lot. It meant everything to me."
Along with that Lindgren, revealed that it is going to be weird having to face off against his former team for the first time since being traded and now securing a four-year, $18 million contract with the Seattle Kraken.
Ryan Lindgren on facing #NYR for the first time tonight:

«Yeah, it'll be weird for sure, for a little bit. But yeah, I got to see a lot of the guys last night and get dinner with them. It'll be weird, for sure, playing the Rangers for the first time, but I'm excited. Should be a really good game."
He's certainly right about it being a really good game, considering the Rangers are looking to extend their winning streak and finish their four-game road trip on a high note.
