The Carolina Hurricanes Place K'Andre Miller on Injured Reserve
The former Rangers defenseman will be placed on IR retroactive to October 20th, according to
DailyFaceOff:
Miller's placement on IR is retroactive to Oct. 20, meaning that he can return to play whenever he's ready and when a roster spot is available. The 25-year-old has been out of action for a little over a week since suffering a lower-body injury. Head coach Rod Brind'Amour told the media it «could be a while» before Miller's ready to get back into the lineup.
Miller's production had taken off with his new team, as he'd scored 4 points (2-2) in 6 games under Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour.
This is welcome news for a team that signed the former 1st-round pick to an eight-year $7.5 million contract with the Hurricanes.
Miller has played 374 games in the NHL, scoring 136 points (38-98), and only 6 of those games have been with the Hurricanes.
