A trusted Rangers insider has just confirmed a possible timeline as to when veteran forward is expected to return to the New York Rangers lineup, after he suffered an upper-body injury.
Since then several reports have surfaced on Trocheck's status, with many confirming that the 32-year old forward has started skating on his own while the Rangers continue on their four-game road trip.
"Vincent Trocheck resumed skating for the first time yesterday, and skated again today."
However, according to reports from Vince Z. Mercogliano fans should expect to see Trocheck sooner than expected.
Vincent Trocheck Nearing Return To The New York Rangers Lineup
Earlier on Thursday morning, insider Vince Z. Mercogliano provided more insight on Trocheck, along with a possible return date if all goes to plan:
"Trocheck - it sounds like he's getting pretty close. He's skated the last few days back in New York ... it sounds like he's turned the corner in the last few days, from what I've heard ... I think sometime in the next week or so is on the table for him [to return]." #NYR
With that being said, it's very unlikely that Trocheck will fly out West to join the team on their road trip and that a return on November 4th is more likely as that is when the Rangers return to Madison Square Garden to face off against the Carolina Hurricanes.
It's clear that the team misses his offensive prowess, as he is a player who scored 59 points (26-33) in 82 games last season in the top-six.
