Certainly a very special night for the New York Rangers in many different ways, considering the bit of a slump they have been on recently. Something the 39-year old goaltender acknowledged, as he stated it's more important for the Rangers to build of their victory.
«Any time your name is in a category with Hank, it's special,» Quick said, «But at the end of the day, it's a much needed two points, and hopefully we can build off this game.»
Quick's time in the National Hockey League has been filled with greatness. However just last season Quick became the first United States-born goalie and 15h in NHL history to reach 400 wins when New York rallied with three third-period goals to defeat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 at Madison Square Garden on Feb. 2. Along with that he was also the 17th goalie in NHL history to play 800 games, reaching the milestone in a 4-0 win against the Nashville Predators on March 2.
