Insider reveals shocking list of New York Rangers untouchables as Chris Drury looks to make drastic changes
Following the New York Rangers disastrous season, GM Chris Drury is expected to really shake things out this offseason, but an NHL insider has just confirmed who will be safe this offseason.
After just winning the Presidents Trophy just last season, the New York Rangers were expected to be a dangerous team to face this season. However, that wasn't the case as they were eliminated from the postseason contention.
Following the very disappointing season, it was revealed that the team was looking to move veteran Forward
Chris Kreider at the NHL Trade deadline, but Chris Drury ultimately thought the return the team would receive in the offseason would be greater.
'... I believe Drury intended to try and trade Kreider before the trade deadline before reevaluating and coming to the conclusion that he would probably have a better chance of getting value back for Kreider if he waited until the summer'
According to reports from an Rangers insider, Phil Kocher, he believes that a full-on overhaul is to be expected, and if it was to happen only four players would be safe from being traded by the New York Rangers:
Unfortunately, only time will tell what General Manager Chris Drury will decide to do throughout the offseason. Hopefully it's something that will get fans excited, cause this past season was truly a brutal one to watch.
