It's confirmed: Rangers targeting Washington Capitals veteran
Max Pacioretty's last two career years were injury-plagued, but fortunately, he returned to play this season.
His second Achilles tear would heal and he would have a good campaign during his return and should generate healthy interest during NHL free-agency.
One of those teams who'd be interested in Pacioretty's services are GM Chris Drury and the New York Rangers.

Of course, with the team signing
Kaapo Kakko, resources are limited for the Rangers to work with.
But they need to do their due diligence to sign talent that can produce at a bargain, which Pacioretty could prove to be.
GM Chris Drury and the Rangers were apparently interested in Pacioretty at the trade deadline.
As they need a top-nine forward, this could be a great fit for both parties, as Pacioretty still have plenty to prove and would undoubtedly love to go cup-hunting.
If Drury could convince the sniper to sign at a discount, this could be a win-win for both parties.
Pacioretty had 23 points( 4 G, 19 A) in 47 games played with the Washington Capitals this season.
