The past 48 hours have been very eventful in the NHS as rumors and stories continued to emerge that the imminent demise of the Arizona Coyotes was on the horizon.
Late this evening, TSN along with other news outlets have confirmed that the Coyotes will be moving to Salt Lake City UT and will begin playing there next season.
The news intensified as the evening wore on and staff and players found out that the team will be moving to Utah by their GM.
1It's been a roller coaster ride in the desert for the coyotes since the day they moved from Winnipeg which was deemed unfit to have an NHL franchise due to attendance issues and an owner who no longer wanted to own the team.
Over the last 25 years, countless owners and constant issues with arenas and lack of attendance has plagued this organization from blossoming into what Gary Bettman thought it would be all those years ago.
The incoming owner, Ryan Smith owner of the Utah Jazz will be handed a franchise with a glut of draft picks and prospects along with $42 million in cap space.
It's safe to say that this franchise which will fly under a new name will be a major player in the unrestricted free agency market in July as the team holds an enormous amount of capital.
This story will remain fluid and much work needs to be done.
