Bruins fans litter ice with garbage after terrible call
Throughout these NHL playoffs, there have been some very questionable calls made in every series but the latest one that happened in Boston against the Bruins and the Panthers certainly needs to be reviewed. The call was so brutal that it caused Bruins fans to litter the ice with garbage well many chance of «ref you suck» rain down from the rafters.
The calling question came at 17:53 left in the third period when Bruins Jakub Lauko was pushed into Sergei Bobrovsky by Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad.
Most Bruins fans and their bench felt the call should be directed towards Ekblad as he committed the interference. The referees chose to penalize Lauko as he directed his skates towards Bobrovsky. This caused the Bruins faithful to go ballistic which led to littering the ice with garbage.
Call to be reviewed with coaches at end of the game
The call certainly raises a lot of eyebrows as the interference was quite clear. And it's well documented that after the game, the referees will confer with the head coaches and discuss certain calls that may have been missed or certainly were egregious in nature.
In the end, the Florida Panthers stomped the Bruins 6-2 and took a 2-1 series lead. Game four will be on Sunday May 12 and game time will be 6:30 PM eastern.
