Top prospect Gabe Perreault reveals he's spending his offseason with former New York Rangers legend
New York Rangers top prospect Gabriel Perreault reveals on how he will be spending his summer training and preparing for next season.
He spoke to Rangers reporter Jonny Lazarus and mentioned that he would likely stay in New York for a few weeks but then switch to Chicago where he will spend the bulk of his summer.
Perreault will be spending some time with former Rangers Patrick Kane
Perreault mentioned that he spends time skating with several NHL veterans including former New York Rangers forward Patrick Kane. He also works with
Alex DeBrincat and
Christian Dvorak.
This season with Boston College, his aspirations to winning the Frozen Four were cut short this year, which allowed him to sign with the Rangers and play 5 games with the NHL organization but not accumulating any points.
Through 37 games, he scored sixteen goals with 32 assists for 48 points and 25
penalty minutes and was a + 28 for BC.
Uncertainty continues for the Rangers as offseason begins
Many through the NHL expect major changes from the top all the way to the bottom of the New York Rangers organization as the team continues to sift through its season and asking themselves what went wrong and what needs to change to get back into the playoffs.
The Rangers were anointed the presidents trophy last season but had major struggles throughout this year which came to much surprise to all NHL pundits and fans of the Blueshirts.
No matter how much change is coming to the Rangers, one thing is certain is that Perreault will become part of the new face of the franchise as he will be a regular next year.
