The New York Rangers could see a major shift in the lineup, due to the play of a former 2nd-round pick, Matthew Robertson. He seems poised to take a veteran's spot in the lineup, if his current play is any indication of how he is utilized.
The New York Rangers' youth movement is alive and well. The former 49th overall pick, Matthew Robertson, appears to be gunning for a spot in the lineup after a veteran could return from injury.
In recent games, we've seen his time on ice trend upwards, compared to defenseman Urho Vaakanainen, who's seen a decrease.
Robertson, who played on the third pair, left side next to Will Borgen. Next to "Belligerent" Bill, he's been successful:

Matthew Robertson is poised to steal Carson Soucy's spot
The former 49th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft found a way to contribute during the Rangers' win against the Montreal Canadiens.
He scored his first NHL goal on two shots in the team's win on the road against the Original Six franchise.
The goal gave the Rangers their first lead in the contest. It was Robertson's first tally in six career appearances, four of which have come this season
Since Carson Soucy has been out of the lineup on injured reserve, he has four hits, three shots on goal, a -1 rating, and increased responsibility on the ice.
