The New York Rangers have officially found K'Andre Millers replacement: Blockbuster Trade in the works

The New York Rangers could trade K'Andre Miller out of the conference and to the West Coast. That is, if the Los Angeles Kings cannot find a way to sign Vladislav Gavrikov who is a pending UFA and could be asking upwards of $8.5 million for his next contract per James Mirtle of The Athletic.
The New York Rangers and Los Angeles Kings could make a trade happen, as they could find themselves with a rental in place of K'Andre Miller for 2025-26.
Miller, who is an RFA, has yet to sign a new contract with GM Chris Drury and the New York Rangers. As the clock ticks, time winds down on his RFA status and could become a UFA if he isn't traded or receives a qualifying offer.
That rental could be Vladislav Gavrikov, who is a two-way defenseman from the Los Angeles Kings.
Gavrikov's 2-year, $5.875 million contract expires at the end of this season, which would mean that if a trade were to happen, it'd have to be a sign and trade, or the Rangers would have to get him an extension ASAP.
In 82 games with the Kings, he scored a total of 30 points (5-25) and could get a pay raise with the Rangers or the Kings, depending on who he signs with first.
Per AFP Analytics, Gavrikov's contract projection is a seven-year deal with a cap hit of $7.6 million, which would coincide at least with the term discussed before Holland took over
The Kings' defenseman has proven to be a reliable blueliner and could be another player the Rangers take a serious look at in order to improve the defensive depth in New York.
Gavrikov is ready for a top role in New York and found himself playing alongside Drew Doughty in LA. Could he be the perfect partner for Adam Fox in New York?
