Respected NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman leaks failed trade involving the New York Rangers

Top NHL insider Elliotte Friedman leaked a trade that fell through involving the Vancouver Canucks star forward J.T. Miller and the New York Rangers.
Tuesday evening was a massive day for the Vancouver Canucks organization as President Jim Rutherford confirmed the that there is indeed a rift in the team's locker room after months of speculation:
"I felt like for a long time that there was a solution here because everybody has worked on it, including the parties involved.
But it only gets resolved for a short period of time and then it festers again and so it certainly appears like there's not a good solution that would keep this group together."

But as of right now, no one knows who will be the one traded from the Canucks between J.T. Miller or Elias Pettersson.
However, insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed the New York Rangers were set to give up several big assets to acquire a forward from the Canucks.
Along with that Friedman revealed that both Miller and Pettersson could end up being traded, and essentially leaked a failed trade between the New York Rangers and the Canucks involving Miller.
At this point it's no secret that the Rangers have been looking to acquire Miller back from the Canucks in the recent years but it has never been this close to happening.
Friedman then revealed details of an offer from the Rangers, confirming that Filip Chytil, a prospect, and a first-round pick were offered to the Canucks in return for Miller.
Elliotte thinks Vancouver eventually trades one or maybe bith Miller and Pettersson. Says he believes the Miller to New York trade was for Chytil, a 1st & a prospect and Vancouver was prepared to do it.
As the NHL trade deadline quickly approaches in just over five weeks from now, a move involving the Rangers is expected to go down soon.
