Rangers veteran forward's recent performance is creating major concerns and it needs to be addressed

This season there has been tons of talk about how Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Alexis Lafreniere and many others in the way that they have been under performing, but one player has gone unnoticed for awhile now.

That player being New York Ranger veteran forward Vincent Trocheck hasn't been his best as of late and many aren't talking about it. Now, it's hard to agree that a player with 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points in 71 games is having a rough time. But after setting a career high in points last season with 77pts, he is only on pace to hit 56pts this season and that's quite the difference.

However, points aren't the only thing that matters, for a player like Teocheck who is a responsible centerman for the Rangers, we haven't seen much from him.

According to NaturalStatTrick, Vincent Trocheck has an expected goals against per 60 of 2.91. That's the second-highest total of his career and the highest since back in 2017-18 with the Panthers.

Now, no one is saying that he needs to be traded as he's in a fair contract with a very reasonable cap hit, along with having a no-movement clause. But the New York Rangers need to find a way to get more out of him, hopefully with being reunited with lifelong friend J.T. Miller, he will be able to find his grove again.

Especially if the New York Rangers are looking to make the playoffs this season.
