The New York Rangers have made many changes prior to the trade deadline and during March 7th. But according to recent reports these additions don't mean much as two newly acquired players are set to moved in the offseason.

The New York Rangers could ostensibly find a way to make the playoffs if they can continue to pull wins against teams in their own division.
Who could they move on from in July in order to strengthen the team and add assets and prospects in the process?
Chris Kreider was one of the Rangers' top producers the last three seasons, which saw him score 30+ goals consecutively.
His peak came during the 2021-2022 season, which saw him post 50+ goals, and since then he's fallen off a cliff with his current shooting percentage of 13.8%.
The Rangers might have some issues trying to move him, with a 15-team no-trade clause, and a $6.5 million contract. But they can neutralize those pain points for other teams by retaining salary to start.
Parssinen hasn't been able to find a way to stand out in Rangers during his short stint here. During the four games he's played he's failed to contribute to a lineup that needs every point it can get.
All the while competition for spots will be heating up, as once training camp rolls around again rookies will trickle in, and players will fight for every spot available.
Parssinen is a future RFA, and may not be part of GM Chris Drury's future plans with the Rangers. He could end up a UFA if Drury doesn't tender him a qualifying offer.

Calvin DeHaan

The former Avalanche defenseman has found himself as a healthy scratch recently after only playing for three games in the lineup.
He's been brought in to help bolster the blue line but has found himself regularly on the bench.
As a journeyman, he has to fight for every minute and having only played 47 games this season, it's doubtful he'll want to remain 7th or 8th defenseman here.
He could walk into free-agency at the end of the season for a new contract somewhere else.
Who do you think will be the first to go in the offseason? Let us know in the poll down below.
