Rangers Make Line Adjustments After Serious Injury Update
The Rangers were dealt a devastating blow with the season ending injury to Blake Wheeler.
He is the second Rangers player to be lost to a season ending injury, the other being Filip Chytil.
Head coach Peter Laviolette has now been playing with the lines and has moved Jimmy Vesey all the way to the top line.
Peter Laviolette addressing the media on Vesey skating on top line:
"We'll practice like that tomorrow. I know that Jimmy has moved up the lineup. I know he's played in a bunch of different roles in his time in New York. Some of that has been with Mika and Kreids. To me, that's a fit that we tried last night and it was seamless. I thought they did a really good job. They produced, generated offense, scored goals. So that's something that we'll leave in place tomorrow and work again in practice."
The first line isn't the only thing changing, the fourth line is also getting adjusted.
It'll be interesting to see how these adjustments will work come Sunday for the Rangers.
