Proposed Trade: New York Rangers To Acquire Dallas Stars' Superstar Forward With Massive Package Deal

TheNew York Rangers have needed help up front, as the top-six is looking rather thin, after sending Chris Kreider and Kaapo Kakko away this season. What remains is a team that is put together with duct tape, it feels like, as Chris Drury's retool is ongoing. With this trade proposal they could reignite the top-six with Jason Robertson of the Dallas Stars.
The New York Rangers could make a splash and help the Dallas Stars relieve themselves of cap issues if they sent this trade proposal to GM Jim Nill.
The team only has $1.085 million in cap space, and moving Jason Robertson would give them the flexibility they desperately need. Robertson makes $7.75 million against the cap, and that is a significant sum for a Cup-contending squad.
Heavy.com has come out with an interesting trade proposal that sends Robertson to New York for a haul of assets, including prospects and picks.

The Deal would send two prospects and two picks in return for Jason Robertson.

To Dallas: Gabe Perreault, Brennan Othmann, 2026 first-round pick, 2028 third-round pick

While it does seem like it is kind of "spendy," it is, because that's what it takes to win in the NHL.
The Rangers would get Robertson and put them back on the path to Stanley Cup contention, and Dallas would get to restock its prospect pool and utilize them in the lineup or for trades down the road.
It might hurt to see Brennan Othmann and Gabe Perreault go; they may have a great shot at making the NHL lineup in Dallas, as they've been blocked in New York.
Perreault, a 16th overall pick in 2021, could be a legitimate top-six forward and key player in Dallas down the road. While Othmann could find some favor with the Stars system.
The Rangers would benefit immensely from acquiring Robertson, and giving them an edge especially if they lose Artemi Panarin down the road.
