Peter Laviolette shockingly addresses the New York Rangers first-line following their recent success
New York Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette addresses the team's first line as they have been on fire ever since acquiring J.T. Miller from the Vancouver Canucks.
The New York Rangers first line of J.T. Miller,
Artemi Panarin and
Mika Zibanejad have been buzzing as of recently, which has resulted in some comments from Peter Laviolette.
Ever since the Rangers acquired Miller from Canucks on Friday, Peter Laviolette made the gutsy decision to move Zibanejad to the wing so that he could play alongside J.T. Miller and Artemi Panarin.
Definitely a risk that seems to have paid off tremendously for the Rangers, as in their last three games together they have been the most productive line by a long shot.
J.T. Miller has definitely brought a much needed physical aspect to the team, that clearly seems to be rubbing off on Zibanejad and Panarin.
Rangers head coach Peter Laviolette feels that these three players are happy to be together, which has ultimately contributed to their recent success over the last two games.
Here's what Peter Laviolette had to say on the three players:
«They seem excited to play with each other,» Laviolette said. «There were some results offensively right away. That builds a little hype inside of themselves. They are playing big minutes in tough matchups, yet they are still producing and doing a good job.»
Hopefully this first line excitement will continue for the remainder of the season and hopefully the playoffs. However, let's just focus on the next game as the Rangers will face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night at 7:00 PM.
Do you think Peter Laviolette will keep this line together for the remainder of the season? Let us know in the poll down below and stay tuned to NY Rangers Insider for the latest news and updates on the New York Rangers.
