Despite the New York Rangers being eliminated in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals by the Florida Panthers, one particular Ranger received nothing but praise and respect from the Panthers.

The one and only being Rangers star goaltender Igor Shesterkin, who truly played his heart out in all these Stanley Cup playoff series that gave his team the best possible chance at winning the Stanley Cup. Even though Shesterkin left it all out on the ice, the Rangers still ended up being defeated.

Shesterkin received a ton of well deserved praise following the tough loss last night, but one that stands out the most would be from the Florida Panthers head coach Paul Maurice.
After the game Maurice was questioned about what stood out the most during this particular series against the New York Rangers, and without hesitation he mentioned Igor Shesterkin.

"I also thought that Igor Shesterkin... I haven't seen a series by a goaltender like that since Jose Theodore in 2002. He won the Hart Trophy that year."

Maurice even gave examples on why he thought Shesterkin was brilliant during this series.

"We got in alone at least four times in games 1 through 5 and six times in one game," said Maurice. "We got nothing. He was brilliant in this series."
