The New York Rangers haven't changed anything in the lineup today during practice. A day ahead of their next matchup against the San Jose Sharks, and Mike Sullivan is dealing with outrage all over social media. Is inaction the best route to take with the lines?
Tomorrow, the San Jose Sharks arrive in Madison Square Garden to face off against the Rangers on home ice.
Like the Rangers, the San Jose Sharks are in a slump, but for the Sharks, they're 0-2-0 on the road. A sign that the Blueshirts could have a chance to break their own terrible record at home.
They broke the goal-scoring drought on home ice last night, but fans aren't fully bought into Mike Sullivan's vision for the team.
His lines during practice have sparked outrage with fans online:

Remember how Peter Laviolette would give a "grizzled" veteran favoritism in the lineup over a prospect or rookie last season?
We present this as evidence, except with forwards Conor Sheary and Taylor Raddysh. They haven't been doing so great this season.
It's well-known that Conor Sheary has a connection to Sullivan and has arguably found a way to exploit that to earn a contract with the Rangers, rather than the team giving a spot to Gabe Perreault or Brennan Othmann.
And fans are outraged about it.
They're not wrong.
Post-training camp, Sheary has been dismal, playing 8 games this season and only scoring 2 points (2A).
While forward Taylor Raddysh has played only 8 games, and scored 1 point.
Maybe these experiments should end?
