In an interview today, former Rangers forward Jack Roslovic shared his feelings about signing a new deal in the NHL with the Edmonton Oilers. The 22-goal forward will join a roster that is set to make another run to the playoffs this season, thanks to GM Stan Bowman.

Forward Jack Roslovic spent last season playing with the Carolina Hurricanes in the Metropolitan Division.
He'd end the year with a career-high, 22-goals scored and 39 points in total, with the Canes. Despite having one of his best seasons of hockey, he would end up walking through free agency, with no new contract by he time training camp rolled around.
There were supposedly multiple NHL teams interested in acquiring the Columbus-born forward's services, but none have made it happen until the Edmonton Oilers did.
He gets to join another contending NHL roster, the Edmonton Oilers help Connor McDavid and company pursue a Stanley Cup in 2025-26.
He'll earn $1.5 million AAV this season, while helping the team gear up for an exciting 2025-26.
"We've been talking to Jack going back to the summer," Oilers general manager Stan Bowman said Wednesday. "We've been in touch with him the whole time and I said to [his agent] back then what I did the other day when this thing picked back up, that we love the player but we don't have a lot of money to spend, so if he wants to come here and kind of bet on himself and get a chance to play, we'd love to have him. I think he was weighing his options and came to the decision this is the place he wants to be."

Former 1st-round pick and New York Ranger joins the Edmonton Oilers

Roslovic felt excited by the prospect of joining a team that was in win-now mode. It once again gives him another opportunity to win a Stanley Cup as a top-nine role player in the Oilers' lineup.
The former Rangers forward hasn't joined the team quite yet, as they're giving him time to settle into the surroundings, but he could join the team to compete on the ice as soon as next week.
He has played a total of 526 games during his NHL career for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Carolina Hurricanes, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, and the Edmonton Oilers.
Roslovic could be a great addition for secondary scoring in a forward group that needs help supporting players like Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.
