NHL Insider reveals trade talk is heating up between the Rangers and an Eastern Conference team
NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has revealed that an Eastern Conference team is interested in doing business with the New York Rangers.
It's well established at this point that the New York Rangers GM Chris Drury wants to shake up the team's roster, with making two veterans Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba available for trades.
However, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Rangers have been talking with the Ottawa Senators regarding a possible trade.
Big changes could be coming for the New York Rangers is they can't turn things around.

«The first thing Drury wants to do is figure out exactly what the trade market is for his guys,» Friedman said. «He is fielding those calls. I think Ottawa is among one of the teams that have talked to the Rangers about something there, but I think there is a lot more to.»
The Rangers have had about a week off before they get ready to face the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, so Friedman believes that Drury is taking his time to figure out what he can and can't do on the trade market.
Friedman also made it very clear that it's not just the two veterans that the Rangers and Chris Drury are attempting to trade, but that there is other many others.
Unfortunately at this time, Drury has still yet to finalize any trades despite the ongoing rumours and speculation. As reported by several sources, it's going to very difficult to pull off any moves at this time.
The Rangers and Penguins are set to face off Friday night at 7:30PM at Madison Square Garden.
