A Trusted New York Rangers has just recently caught up with Rangers top prospect, Noah Laba, and got a status on his injury after he had taken a slap shot to the face on Monday night.

Back on Monday night a very terrifying emerged as New York Rangers top prospect Noah Laba was forced to leave the game after taking a slapshot to the face from Vinnie Hinostroza while defending on the penalty kill.
Noah Laba on for the PK has a shot by Hinostroza deflect off his stick and apparently get him in the face. He's being helped off the ice right now. Doesn't look good at all.
Here's a clip of the incident if you missed it:
Thankfully not long after, Noah Laba managed to return to the Rangers bench, wearing a full face shield, in the same period.

Noah Laba Speaks Out For The First Time Since The Incident

Now that it has been a few days since the incident, Rangers reporter Vince Z. Mercogliano of The Athletic got the chance to speak with Laba, and got a bit of confirmation on his status.
Here's what he had to say:
"Checked in with Noah Laba, who has a few stitches and definitely looks like he's been through the ringer, but he said he thankfully didn't lose any teeth. Eating sounds a bit uncomfortable, but he was in pretty good spirits overall. #NYR"
Certainly very lucky that it was nothing serious, as the New York Rangers can't really afford to lose another forward this early into the 2025-26 season. Considering veteran forward Vincent Trocheck is currently on Long-Term Injured Reserve (LTIR).
