New York Rangers to complete blockbuster trade with division rivals involving core player
New York Rangers reportedly working on a massive blockbuster trade with one of their divisional rivals, the Carolina Hurricanes.
According to earlier reports from Vince Z. Mercogliano of USA Today, the Detroit Red Wings were one team to watch out for in the Miller sweepstakes. As the New York Rangers look to clear more cap space to land
Vladislav Gavrikov, and they have done just that.
Miller has been a player who the New York Rangers have been trying to trade for weeks now and the Red Wings were the first team to be publicly mentioned as a possible suitor for
K'Andre Miller, as they have a ton of cap space in order to do so.
As of now it's unclear if the Red Wings have made any sort of trade offer to the Rangers and if the two teams have even started to talk about possible negotiations.
Along with this, according to ESPN's Emily Kaplan, the Rangers have not gotten any offers they want in a trade involving the 25-year-old defenseman, which means they could be looking to keep Miller and acquire Gavrikov while maybe moving a veteran player such as
Carson Soucy.
However, that wont be the case as many reports have just surfaced that indicate the Rangers and GM Chris Drury are working on a massive trade with the Hurricanes that involves K'Andre Miller.
