New York Rangers top defenseman's status just went from bad to worse following latest development that had just surfaced from the organization.
New York Rangers top defenseman Adam Fox has suffered a brutal upper-body injury during Tuesday night's game against the New York Islanders as he was forced to exit the game early.
However, the New York Rangers organization just announced an update on Adam Fox's status, as they have placed him on Injured Reserve with an upper-body injury and will be «out for a little bit».
Adam Fox is going on injured reserve. He will be out for «a little bit,» I'm told, but the Rangers are confident he will be back for the stretch run of the season.

Kinda making this situation a bit conflicting as he's suppose to be with the team for the stretch run of the season but was just placed on injured reserve.
As stated in a recent post a, doctor by the name of Dr. Harjas Grewal provided an updated on Fox along with provided a potential timeline for his returned depending on what type of injury he's suffered.
Here's what he said:
Just like Tanev, mechanism can cause a separated shoulder (time off depends on type, usually a 1-3 week window for NHLers) or broken collarbone (8-12+ weeks) for Fox
So by the sounds of it, it appears he didn't break anything and will only miss a few weeks.
