After all is said and done at the NHL Draft, the new recruits' stories begin in professional hockey. They go through a whirlwind of events, which leads them to home ice, where the New York Rangers prospects will take part in the 2025-26 Development Camp.
The New York Rangers, like other NHL teams, quickly put together a development camp for their newly acquired prospect from the NHL Draft.
This is a yearly occurrence when the prospects get their first taste of life in the NHL and see what it takes to be successful. They get trained by the best in the league and will get to learn new techniques and ways of the game.
And the Rangers have released this year's 2025 Development Camp roster on "X".
It's a pretty sizable list, despite the fact that the team didn't have a lot of draft picks this season.
"X" user "nohopeleague" went into detail about who's who, with a color coding system which included: UFA invitees, drafted players who are unsigned, and players with ELCs. Along with the special class "Nepo Babies".
In attendance also is Will "Beanie" Richter, who is Mike Richter's son, and last played for Yale University, scoring 11 points (5-6) in 30 games in the ECAC.
He was formerly coached by New York Rangers legend Mike Richter, and is his son.
The New York Rangers have made more room for prospects in the system, as they've not extended offers to
Arthur Kaliyev and Zac Jones.
This could be the start of of great thing in the NHL for these newly-minted prospects of the Rangers organization.
